Join us for an immersive, all-day experience where you’ll learn the art of cooking and canning a turkey in a pressure canner. This comprehensive class covers everything from preparing the turkey to canning both the meat and broth, along with valuable insights on tips, safety, storage, regenerative farming, diet, and nutrition.

  • Date and Time: Flexible scheduling—choose your preferred date and time when registering.
  • Location: Huckleberry Farms, 8701 S. Singhurst St., Terre Haute, IN or reTHink, Inc, 1544 S. 13th St. depending on date (Your confirmation email will specify)

Materials and Supplies:

  • Provided: Pressure canner, jars, lids, canning tools, recipe booklet, frozen turkey, and ingredients for broth
  • Bring: Apron, notebook, desire to learn

Instructor Information:

Your instructor, Traci, has 4 years of experience in canning and is passionate about teaching others the art of preserving food. She will guide you through the process with expertise and enthusiasm.

Pricing and Registration:

  • Cost: $300 per person
  • Group Rate: $250 per person (maximum of 4 people)
  • Deposit of $50 required at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the class.

  • Is lunch provided? Yes, we will have a light lunch and refreshments available during the class.
  • What is the group size limit? This class is open to groups of up to 4 people to ensure everyone gets hands-on experience and personalized instruction.
  • Is this class suitable for beginners? Absolutely! This class is designed to accommodate all skill levels, from beginners to experienced canners.
  • Will we be canning both the turkey meat and broth? Yes, you’ll learn how to can both the turkey meat and broth during the class.
  • What if I need to cancel? If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us at least 7 days before the class date to receive a refund of any payments made, excluding the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the class date will not be eligible for a refund. In the event that we need to cancel the class, you will receive a full refund, including the deposit.
  • What should I wear? Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
  • Can I book a private class? Yes, private sessions are available.
  • Can I take home what I can during the class? Yes, you’ll take home the jars of canned goods that you prepare during the class.
