Farm Table Talk: Blind Trust Will Get You Killed

The government says it’s safe, so you don’t have to question it.
The school curriculum is fine, so no need to dig deeper.
The food is regulated, so it must be healthy.
The healthcare system is trustworthy, so you’re in good hands.

Good grief. Do some research.

Blind Trust Is a Dangerous Game

Let’s be clear—when a system benefits from keeping people uninformed, you should be questioning everything.

  • The education system? More focused on standardized obedience than actual critical thinking.
  • The food industry? Prioritizing profit over nutrition, pumping out ultra-processed garbage while suppressing regenerative farming.
  • The healthcare system? Overloaded, reactive, and treating symptoms instead of causes—because there’s more money in long-term dependency than actual health.
  • Government regulations? Frequently influenced by corporate lobbying, meaning what’s “approved” isn’t always safe—it’s just profitable.

And yet, somehow, people still trust these systems without question, like obedient livestock being herded toward slaughter.

Stop Being Sheep—Start Asking Questions

Let’s say it plainly: You are responsible for what you know.

If you rely on institutions to filter reality for you, you’re handing over your autonomy. You’re assuming someone else is looking out for your best interest, when in reality, most systems are looking out for their bottom line.

  • Your kids’ education? Challenge what they’re being taught.
  • Your food? Learn what’s actually in it, where it comes from, and what alternatives exist.
  • Your healthcare? Stop treating doctors like infallible gods—do the research, ask the hard questions, understand how industries function.

The truth is, systems thrive on passive compliance, and the more people accept what they’re told without verifying, the easier they are to control.

Self-Education Is Survival

Real independence doesn’t come from being told what’s safe—it comes from knowing how to assess safety for yourself. It comes from learning outside the system, from studying history, alternative viewpoints, unbiased science. It comes from not accepting the first answer just because it’s the official one.

You have access to more information than any generation before you, yet somehow, people still blindly follow whatever they’re told.

It’s time to wake up.

What do you think? Have you learned the hard way not to trust the first answer you’re given? Pull up a chair—let’s talk about why autonomy starts with knowledge.
