The “Fill Your Freezers” Drill – 2024 Edition
Ever heard of the phrase “grab it while it’s hot”? Well, the same goes for fresh, farm-raised meat! Here’s how you can secure your prime cuts for 2024.
📅 Booking Windows: Mark your calendars! We’re swinging our barn doors open for orders twice this year: from February 1st to 29th and again from July 1st to 31st.
✉️ Easy-Peasy Order Process: Got specific meaty cravings? Drop us an email at traci@huckleberryfarms.farm during our booking windows. Specify the quantity of whole chickens, whole rabbits, or precision-cut pieces you’re keen on. We’re all ears (and feathers and fluff)!
💲 Secure and Streamlined Payments: After we receive your order, you’ll get an invoice for a modest deposit ($5 per lovely animal). Why a deposit, you ask? It helps us kickstart the process tailored to your order. Once you’ve settled the deposit, that’s our cue to get the magic going. We’re talking ordering chirpy chicks, planning passionate rabbit rendezvous, and ensuring everyone’s well-fed and plump.
🕰 Nature’s Timeline: It’s all organic here. Post breeding, rabbits enjoy a 30-day pregnancy vacation. Meanwhile, both chicks and baby bunnies need about 12 weeks of TLC to reach their butcher-perfect weight.
🛍 Pickup & Pay: When it’s time to collect your order, you’ll owe us the balance, which is based on the precise weight of your finished animals. For the pricing aficionados: whole chickens are $5/lb and rabbits hop in at $4/lb.
Here at Huckleberry Farms, we’re all about fresh food and transparent processes. So, when it comes to meat, why wing it when you can plan it?
An order for 20 – 5lb chickens and 10 – 5 lb rabbits would be $150 deposit and $550 at pickup.
